Where to start? Iโll don my Captain Obvious hat for a moment here. Coffee.
Whether you enjoy the beverage or not (spoiler alert: I donโt), thereโs no denying itโs the lifeblood of many. The tales I could tell about people doing things they otherwise might not, all to get their hands on their chosen elixirโฆ Muahahahaha!
Enter Coffee Capers: 10 tales of coffee and adventure
The stories in this anthology perfectly sum up the โWhatever it takes to get my coffee!โ mentality of those who need their fix. I havenโt finished the book at the time of this post, but letโs just say that of the tales Iโve read so far, I can safely confirm the characters involved will go to any lengths for a (perfect) brew.
I make no guesses about the authors going that far.
Coffee Capers is also a reason to celebrate. My java-addicted friend M. Plummer is making his debut as a published author. Thatโs a special achievement and deserves to be celebrated.
Cheers to having your first published story out in the world, M, and may there be many more. I look forward to seeing what you do next. And remember, Iโve seen some of your coffee habits. Just sayinโโฆ
P.S. Before anyone lynches me for not liking coffee, consider this: Iโm leaving more for everyone who loves it. Yes, Iโm using that as my โGet Out of Jail Freeโ card. Trust me when I say itโs saved some friendships. ;-)
